About the DJ's

The Silent Disco is always hosted by resident Silent Disco Deejays. Here's a short introduction to them:

Deejay NO dj (Nico Okkerse) is a former street musician, actor, theatre producer and cultural political adviser. He is famous for his radical mixes of distinctive tunes with drastic eclectic taste. His warm radio voice is famous and very seductive.

djOD (Michael Minten) has been involved in Silent Disco from the start and has lost count on the number of occasions and places he has played. He loves hard beats but be prepared to meet his Balkan roots. djOD is a party master. He gets the crowd moving like no one else.

Deejay Steven Guts (Ernst Walgenbach) is a young ginger writer, performer, singer and music freak who has been hopping the club circuit of Rotterdam since the age of 15. This is where he developed his sense for ambiance and his fine taste in finding special tracks. With his smile and funny, sometimes absurd, anecdotes he is mixing an emulsion of Indie, Big Beat, Breakz, Electro, Hip Hop, Techno, House and Vintage Soul grooves.

Even deejay Tony Carlos (Matthijs Felix) himself isn’t sure what his origins are. Some say he’s Italian, some think he’s Russian, or is he Japanese? One thing that’s certain is that Tony picked up all kinds of different music styles from all over the world, which he combines playing in his sets as a deejay for the Silent Disco.

Deejay BIG KING BING (Bing Wiersma) is a TV-actor/All-round Theatre Maker who lost his heart to the Silent Disco about 5 years ago. Like all Silent Disco deejays he'll play a bit of everything. But most of all he likes to lose himself in his disco collection and club- and garage sounds of the last few decades. He also developed a fondness for electro and deeper dance sounds, nice and rough. His smooth voice, sharp radio comments and heartfelt grooves will stir up every crowd.

Deejay Flo (Floor Nagengast) has been a Silent Disco deejay since the early years. She had her own radio show in Amsterdam where she used to guide her audience away from mainstream hits with her own selection of eclectic mix of 80’s, fine Rock, Metal, Ambient, Electro, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Deep House, Techno too much to list. Despite the rain DJ Flo really loves playing at the Edinburgh Fringe and Glastonbury Festival. But she has also captured the hearts and ears of many different European audiences with her mixture of up-tempo beats and intriguing slows at many Silent Disco shows.

Deejay Groovy Jack (Jacqueline van de Geer) is a sophisticated looking lady who surprises and enjoys the crowd with groovy, funky and exceptional tracks from then and now. Her current residency is Montreal (Canada) also known as the Paris of North America. She loves Argentinean tango, dark chocolate and charming gentleman.

Deejay Brettt Vincent (Brett Vincent) started deejaying back in 1992 during the Rave/Hardcore era in the UK. He loves a remix and has a very eclectic mix of genres (disco, country, Disney, drum n bass, hip-hop, UK & US garage, funky house, breaks, electro, grime and fidget to name just a few).
